“A session with Denise is an experience I had not had until we had our first visit. The best way to explain what happens is you come in as one person and you leave as another. Due to an injury my body sustained a TBI which caused my body and being feeling like it had been blown apart. My life changed  CF pic websitebeyond what I could had ever imagined. Outwardly I look ‘normal’ however inward my brain and body was totally different. Speaking, thinking, understanding, and communication were almost non-existent. This was so far from my norm that it was frightening and I was lost. Body functions and movement took on a whole new meaning. What we as people assume as habits i.e. using the bathroom, cooking and eating, brushing teeth, phone calls and using the computer. All of these took on a whole new meaning. What normally took a few minutes now took hours and more energy that I had.  My days were filed with re-learning life.  Giving up was never an option nor will it ever be.  Denise supported me to stay positive and feel my way forward.Flower purple bkgrd

My time prior to our visit was spent with many types of therapist: physical, psychological, speech, occupational, neuro-cognitive PhD for testing. During the time in one session with Denise we covered all areas.  So it was a blessing to be with one person who really understood what my many challenges and diagnosis were. The medical doctors were not clear as to how to deal or what to do or even suggest. Just drugs and the usual care that did not begin to address the challenges or to make me reconnect the broken connections in my brain and body.

I have had five series of private sessions with Denise.  Each series  has taken me further into becoming healthy and whole.  Due to family and financial challenges this process has been over a six year time span.  It has been a journey filled with healing on so many levels in every area of my life. I can think, feel, speak, re-learning physical movements, balance, timing, and much more. I now feel good and am living a new life.

Each year I have set goals and have met them with Denise’s knowledge, experience and support. What was once the feeling of being blown apart into my Soul now feels like peace, laughter, growth and wholeness.”                   Charlene Fontaine, Del Mar

“Well what can I say about Denise? I brought my grandson, age 4, to see Denise. He was not speaking. After two visits how would I say it, ‘She unlocked his speech.’ Or as David would say, ‘She helped me to talk.’ After the 4th visit he was spontaneously singing the ABC song. “         Lisa Monatano, Oceanside

I brought my six-year-old daughter to Denise with sleep and behavioral issues.  She had never slept in her own bed, took hours to fall asleep each night, and had many tantrums during the day. After six months of weekly sessions with Denise my daughter is sleeping in her own room, falling asleep quickly, staying asleep all night, and her tantrums have dramatically decreased. She loves attending her sessions with Denise and looks forward to their time together.  I am so grateful for Denise’s vast knowledge and her calm, caring manner when interacting with my little girl.      Jessica W. -Temecula

“Thanks you so much for identifying the issue I was having with my knee in spite of not being able to express it. I was having severe pain and was unable to to walk for the last month and a half. After ONE SESSION, Jay NarayanI was able to walk freely without limping and without stressing the other leg. Now I am able to workout a little bit and feel less pressure and pain.
One other important thing is that I am able to see the muscles on my left thigh rebuilding.
I really appreciate your skill in identifying and helping my Knee heal.  Jay N., San Diego

“It’s been four years since my car accident, almost to the day, and I want to express my gratitude for all that you and Brain Gym have done for me  Margaret Wolff bot croppedin the two years we have been working together.  When I came to you that first day, I was, to use an apt metaphor, a wreck — I stuttered, couldn’t string a paragraph let alone a sentence together to save my writer’s heart, and walked around with my hands cupped over my eyes to help my brain compensate for the loss of much of my peripheral vision.  I think too, I was still in a post-traumatic shock for, though my memories of the accident were clear, the sight or sound of anything even resembling the accident was terrifying.  My physical and emotional energy were so tied up in denial and fear that I was  exhausted most of the day.

What I remember most about that first visit was how I felt when it was over, how excited I was, and grounded — in my body.  All the prognostications of the various “ologists” who had diagnosed me as permanently “brain damaged” would soon be proven wrong, I felt sure.  I knew Brain Gym was the fairy dust and you were the angel God had sent to this Humpty Dumpty to help me put myself back together again.  It wasn’t just my imagination either!  My husband could tell something wonderful had transpired just by the changes he heard in my voice on the phone.

From our beginning regimen of twice a week visits to our current schedule of “10,000 mile check-ups,” I have been amazed by, fascinated at and grateful for the power of Brain Gym and the resiliency of the brain when a skilled practitioner such as yourself takes the reins of one’s recovery in hand and allows them to steer their own chariot down the yellow-brick road back to health.  While I know that I will be always be challenged to some degree by certain cognitive tasks, I now know how to take up the reins of my recovery myself and use my Brain Gym pals when the situation demands.  I also see the remnants of my accident as sacred wounds, reminders of the power of the human mind, heart and spirit to adapt and restore.  I may never be able to sit at my computer for 10 hours straight again — but it’s not all that important to me now!  I am grateful for whatever I can do, more so than I ever was before this reconstruction occurred in my life.  I am also more conscious of the importance of compassion and listening to and acting on my inner guidance.  I think that in helping me create new neural pathways in my brain, Brain Gym also helped me re-groove my thoughts in a kinder, gentler way.

Thank you for being my partner in this journey.  Your skill and your kindness — just who you are as a human being — have made my travels seem less lonely and frightening and a heck of lot more fun!”

In Gratitude, Margaret Wolff, Author of In Sweet Company
